The JOYO AC Tone guitar effect pedal is based on the AC-30 tube amplifier that, with a little help from two mop-top multi-instrumentalists, revolutionised the electric guitar sound, the JOYO AC tone pedal really rocks our age!

The fab sound is easy to nail with this little tone machine. Featuring endless controls, bypass wiring and components of only the highest quality, the pedal can put in more than a hard day's work. AC-30 has 6 knobs, Many combinations are possible. This pedal can make your clean sound sparkle by thickening the midrange and adding as much top end bite as you can take (or take away), while the distortion it offers is straight out of the USSR.

The ac tone pedal from JOYO really captures something usually missing from most modern guitar sounds: subtle to aggressive warmth and a natural sounding overdrive. With the unique "voice" control you can dial in never before heard tones. Level and drive controls add incredible range, while the 3-band eq offers even more flexibility when it comes to getting an original sound.

Perhaps the greatest feature of this pedal is the fact that it has inbuilt cabinet emulation meaning you can go from the pedal directly to a mixing desk, a DAW or directly to your computer/laptop with a jack to usb lead. So this pedal is essentially a DI. You can use it instead of an amp and it can save your gig if your amp fails, just put it at the end of all your other pedals and set it clean like your amp then just take the output from the American sound straight to the desk. Gig saved. Or by going direct into a DAW or even your laptop you can record direct from the pedal.

"This is my personal favourite distortion, It gives you that 'toppy' brittle, British amp sound that EL84 valves give you. Very good at bringing out the tonal quality of a humbucker. The 'voice' control gives you tons of tone option" Matt our UK product Guru

The JOYO AC Tone holds its own in any pedal chain, especially for guitar players with the desire to blend new and old.

  • Level and drive controls add incredible range
  • Modelling achieves famous vox ac-30 tone
  • Distortion is warm and natural, with subtlety in mind
  • Quality components, bypass feature
  • powered by 9v battery (not included) or 9v centre negative power supply.
  • 6 knobs allow complete control over pedal dynamics

I have owned and used Vox ac30's in the past. This Joyo actone pedal delivers a reasonable facsimile of the sound I remember, without some of the drawbacks of the real thing, like the weight of the beast, the sometime reliability issues, and the way if pushed hard during a performance, the sound seemed to 'wilt' somewhat. Oh yeah, they get damn hot as well. I remember they were pretty noisy when wound up, which this pedal can be as well. In a home use situation this can be offputting ; in a live performance situation not. It provides plenty of gain for that rich expressive compressed sustain that the real thing does. At home, with judicious use of Voice and Drive controls, a good sound with not too much noise is achievable. For the cost of the unit it's a no brainer

I purchased this on the say so of a friend that plays the same music as me ( The Shadows ) I had my doubts but WOW WOW WOW what a difference its made all the different tone's , I had to twiddle each dial to get the right sound ( Trial and error ) but got there in the end, I don't play heavy metal stuff but for anyone who does this is the one to buy. Well impressed I personally would recommend this pedal.
P.S. I got lucky as I think I bought the last one in stock lucky me lol

I own old Italian copy of AC30 and I can say, sound is really close.I like both, clean and drive sound. I'm using it on my other amp, which is some Marshall hand made, and it opened my sound so much!I'm really happy with it.

Crikey! This is an awesome little pedal!I'm using mine straight into a pa system and it works exactly for what I need it for. The Voice dial gives me a nice range of different amp sounds as well as the drive and tone dials added to the overall exceptional sounds that comes from this cheap, nice little pedal.Highly Recommend.

Great pedal it's a little different than just one overdrive pedal or even two distortion pedals for that matter. Out of the box and everything set to 12 it sounds like crap I nearly put it back in the box. You have to toy around with the knobs it has a wide range of tones you can pull out of it. At first I noticed it was way to bright sounding and twangy on the highs. I kept working with it and dialed that out of it and into a nice chunky Vox sound. I didn't like how it removed that natural tube sound from my amp but I'm thinking that's because it has a pre amp built in and I need to run into my effects loop. I will try that next. But for now it's fun to dial in different tones.
